Why We Teach
November 22, 2010
The best part of teaching comes after the class when students send an email telling you how what they’ve learned has literally changed their life. And while I’d like to believe the quality of our courses has something to do with that, it’s mostly about the initiative of our students. They come to our courses because they want to learn something new and better themselves. It’s a significant investment, both in terms of time and money, and we don’t take it lightly. So we’re always thrilled (and humbled) to hear when one of our alumni used what they learned to fulfill a goal: got a promotion, found a new job, made the transition to being an independent, or created a great app!
Thankfully, we’ve been able to share in many of these moments over the years. In fact, a week after running an iPhone Studio we heard from one of our youngest students that he released his first iPhone app. Then last week he followed it up with his second app. Here’s a write-up in his local newspaper.
Congrats, Chandler!
